Automatic APTC Increases FAQ

The American Rescue Plan, signed into law earlier this year, raised premium tax credits (PTCs) for marketplace consumers through 2022. Starting on September 1, 2021, these enhanced PTCs will be applied automatically for some HealthCare.gov consumers.

This FAQ explains how the automatic PTC increase, known as batch redetermination, will work and who is eligible to receive the enhanced PTCs automatically.
