Navigator Resource Guide

Resource from the Georgetown University Center on Health Insurance Reforms.

Georgetown University’s Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR) has created a comprehensive resource manual on private health insurance and the new health insurance marketplaces.  Including 237 frequently asked questions (FAQs) developed in collaboration with researchers at the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the Navigator Resource Guide is intended to supplement the training available from the federal government and from states operating their own consumer assistance programs.  The guide covers a wide range of topics, such as the individual mandate, the new health insurance marketplaces, eligibility for premium tax credits, as well as options outside the marketplaces for individuals and small employers.

Researchers at CHIR will periodically update the Navigator Resource Guide to capture emerging issues and questions from the field.
